one piece manga

Hi!
I have been thinking about starting 2 read the one piece manga but I don't wanna spoil the episodes 4 my self.. have any of you read the manga? do you regret it? .. sorry about my terrible english -.-'
I also notised in other anime series I have been watching that the story is a tiny bit different in the manga, is the one piece manga and serie different?

I really hope 2 get some answers! ^^
